Founded in 1971, LaBaron’s Power Sports has grown into Michigan’s full-service repair shop, machine shop, and parts supplier—supported by our family of businesses, including LaBaron’s MX Track, LaBaron’s Pink Store, and Barker’s Exhaust. Today, we proudly serve riders across the Thumb, throughout the United States, and around the world.

 

LaBaron’s Power Sports: Our Story

 

1971 – LaBaron’s Sports Opens in Troy, MI


Bruce and Les Baron founded LaBaron’s Sports in Troy, Michigan. Over the years, the business became one of Michigan's largest and most respected powersports dealers, known for unbeatable prices on ATVs, snowmobiles, and top-notch customer service.

First Location in Almont

2006 – LaBaron’s Moves to Almont, MI
After decades of success, the Baron brothers retired and passed the business to Craig Noble, a reputable power sports expert. Craig brought the LaBaron’s name to Almont, MI, where the business operated from a 1,500 sq. ft. facility. The company quickly expanded, requiring larger locations in the years to come.

LaBarons Power Sports Second Location

2010 – Relocation to a 3,000 Sq. Ft. Facility
Due to rapid growth, LaBaron’s Power Sports moved to a 3,000 sq. ft. facility next to Total Storage in Almont, MI.

LaBarons Power Sports Showroom

2014 – Move to a 12,000 Sq. Ft. Facility
With continued success, LaBaron’s upgraded again to a 12,000 sq. ft. facility in Almont, enhancing its operations and ability to serve customers.

2018 – New Ownership & Relocation to Imlay City, MI
Craig Noble retired after 12 years, entrusting the business to General Manager Chad Dingman and Lead Technician Alex Galeczka. Under their leadership, LaBaron’s moved to Imlay City, MI, expanded its machine shop operations, and continued its growth trajectory.

LaBarons Land

2022 – Acquisition of Land in Brown City, MI
With future expansion in mind, Chad and Alex purchased 32.5 acres along Van Dyke and Peck Rd in Brown City, MI. Plans were set for a new state-of-the-art facility, allowing for even more growth and innovation.

2023 – Move into a New 20,000 Sq. Ft. Facility
LaBaron’s Power Sports relocated to a 20,000 sq. ft. building on Enterprise Drive, adding another 5.25 acres to their existing land. This facility became their largest to date, providing ample space for the service department and machine shop, and setting the foundation for future expansion.

LaBarons MX Track

2024 – Opening of LaBaron’s MX Track
LaBaron’s opened its very own motocross track in 2024. Designed for riders of all skill levels, LaBaron’s MX Track offers a family-friendly atmosphere, allowing riders to hone their skills and test out their vehicles on-site. This addition solidifies LaBaron’s as the ultimate one-stop shop for power sports enthusiasts.

With over 16,240 repairs completed, LaBaron’s Power Sports remains focused on providing riders with quality dirt bike, ATV, and side-by-side parts at competitive prices—backed by the best service in the industry. Through our partnerships with Western Power Sports, Parts Unlimited, Automatic Distributors, and Turn 14 Distribution, we stock inventory across 16 U.S. warehouses to ensure fast delivery.
